Wilton V. Byars, III, is honored to have been selected for membership in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, an organization composed of leaders in the legal community. Federation members have been judged by their peers to have achieved professional distinction and are committed to promoting knowledge, fellowship, professionalism, and the course of justice. Membership in the Federation consists of defense counsel in private practice, in-house corporate and insurance counsel, and non-attorney claims executives. New members must be nominated and seconded by two current members and are rigorously investigated by the Admissions Committee. Currently, the Federation is made up of 1,072 defense counsel members, together with an increasing number of corporate counsel members.
