MS Supreme Court Reverses & Renders Favorable Summary Judgment for Law Firm Defense Client

Daniel Coker Horton & Bell Attorneys, George E. Abdo, III and Thomas R. Julian, prevailed in an Interlocutory Appeal to Mississippi Supreme Court. Abdo and Julian successfully defended a law firm on claims of negligence, malicious prosecution, abuse of process, and intentional infliction of emotional distress based on the law firm defendant’s representation of an adverse party in a prior subrogation matter. The Mississippi Supreme Court ruled that the lower trial court should have granted the law firm defendant’s summary judgment motion and reversed and rendered judgment in favor of the law firm defendant.
