Tamara V. McGee

Overview

Tamara is an associate in our Oxford office.

She attended the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she graduated cum laude one semester early. She served as Student Attorney in the University of Mississippi Child Advocacy Clinic, and was Alumni/Networking Chair of the Black Law Student Association. Tamara earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi in Political Science, graduating in three years.

During law school, Tamara was a member of Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, and 2L BarBRI Representative.

Tamara served as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Deborah McDonald on the Mississippi Court of Appeals in Jackson, Mississippi from March 2022 to March 2023.

From May to July 2021 she also worked remotely as legal intern in the Kinship Care Unit of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society in Georgia, drafting guardianship pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and conducting telephonic client meetings.

Throughout undergraduate and law school Tamara participated in several pro bono Expungement and Estate Planning clinics.
